Hayek Global College, recognized as the 8th best institution in the Student Mobility category of the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), has launched the American College in Brasília, a unique dual degree undergraduate program between Brazil and the USA. The event was attended by representatives from partner universities in the United States and educational leaders from the capital city.
In this 2+2 model, students will study in Brazil for two years, then continue their education in person at a partner university in the United States to complete their bachelor’s degree in courses such as Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, International Relations, and other areas of Business. Classes are conducted entirely in English by an international team of professors.
During the launch ceremony, Edson Agatti, Executive Director of Hayek Global College, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “Our goal is to build a bridge that connects Brazilian students to the best international universities. American institutions value cultural diversity and show great interest in attracting our students.”

Representatives from partner universities in the United States were present at the event. Among them were Paul C. Stumb, President of Cumberland University, and Mark Hanshaw, Provost of the institution; Eric Yang, Vice Provost for Global Strategies and Internationalization at Kentucky State University; Melissa Holland, Senior Analyst for International Affairs at Alfred State (part of the State University of New York - SUNY system); and André Aires, an alumnus of Fort Hays State University, Kansas. They traveled to Brazil specifically to celebrate this innovative partnership.
Melissa Holland from Alfred State expressed her excitement about the program: “We are eager to welcome more students to our campus. We were looking for a creative way to strengthen mobility between Brazil and New York, and I believe this partnership with Hayek will make that possible. The institution’s infrastructure in Brasília is fantastic, and people are highly engaged.”

Eric Yang from Kentucky State University highlighted the benefits of the program for Brazilians: “Our institution was established in 1886. It stands out in various areas, such as agronomy and technology, and has been strengthening in research. Our Computer Science program, for example, collaborates with many companies, such as Microsoft and NASA. This shows how much our institution offers a combination of practical learning and cultural immersion opportunities, preparing students for the global job market, which is fully aligned with Hayek’s proposal.”

We have an agreement with Hayek and are ready to make this work in the best possible way.”
