Hayek Global College, an international business school based in Brasília, has just established a partnership with Cumberland University, one of the most traditional universities in Tennessee, United States. Founded in 1842, the institution is located in Lebanon, near Nashville, a region recognized as one of the world's major entertainment and technology hubs. This partnership is part of the innovative American College 2+2 program, which offers Hayek students the possibility to complete the first two years of their degree in Brazil and then transfer to a U.S. institution like Cumberland University to finish their studies.

In his speech at the ceremony, the President of Cumberland University expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership, which will allow the institution to welcome students from Hayek Global College. Stumb highlighted the pride in the university's 183-year history, having produced a Nobel Prize winner, two U.S. Supreme Court justices, over 80 members of Congress, and 21 governors. However, he emphasized that his greatest expectation for the coming years is to welcome Brazilian students from Hayek, who will become "the next governors, the next presidents, and the next business and professional leaders excelling in their fields."

 

In an exclusive interview, Mark and Paul spoke about the importance of this partnership for Brazilian students and how it aligns with the institution's global vision.

"This international expansion is celebrated in two ways. First, by providing educational opportunities for students from various parts of the world. Second, by offering our American students the opportunity to engage with this diverse and culturally rich global community," explained Stumb. He added that Cumberland University strives to ensure that both international and American students work and live side by side, creating a rich learning environment.
