My name is Mr. John Mustapha Kutiyote. I was born in December, 1982 in Western Equatoria State Yambio, South Sudan and am married with three children. My father was a driver and I lost him to a car ambush during the 21 years of civil war between Sudan and Southern Sudan when I was eight years old. I was raised by my maternal grandmother. I would describe myself as a self-motivated and ambitious gentleman.
I am an Executive Director/Co-Founder of Students’ Organization for Liberty and Entrepreneurship (SOLE), a think tank registered in Western Equatoria State with the aim of fostering a free, peaceful, and prosperous society in South Sudan. I won the 2019 Africa Shark Tank Think Tank Award by Atlas Network for pitching an entrepreneurial idea on the right of South Sudanese women to own property.
I hold a bachelor degree and a diploma in Business Administration. I also hold an advanced certificate in Public Administration and Community Service from Africa International University-Kenya, Nile Institute of Management Studies-Uganda and University of Fort hare-South Africa respectively.
I am determined to pursue MBA program at Hayek Global College due to its ambitious need for excellence in terms of its advanced academic program and it is vital that I gain international experience and familiarize myself with different cultures at this stage in my career as I develop my leadership and management skills,
I have worked in several civil society organizations, national and international organizations such as CordAid, Africa Educational Trust, and Star Trust Organization respectively at different capacities. I also served as a Local Coordinator for Students For Liberty and a Campus Coordinator for Foundation for Economic Education. I am currently a steering committee member for the American Institute for Economic Research (Bastiat Society) chapter in South Sudan.
After the successful completion of my MBA’s program with primary focus on Small and Medium Enterprise, I will return to my home country to lead and develop agribusiness industries to make more impacts and contribute to a free, peaceful, and prosperous South Sudan
