This article is based on my personal experience, at Hayek Global College’s own Global MBA. As I participated in the class with students from 8 different countries, there were business executives, lawyers, NGO leaders, and entrepreneurs (like myself). We all got to know different contexts and learned new perspectives.
Hayek Global College and I were mentioned in the news website Quartz, in an article published in March 24, 2021, named, “Why have two long-dead Austrian economists become cult figures in Brazil?“. Given the relevance of Quartz and its reach as a news outlet, I would like to share some thoughts to clarify the mission of our institution, and why we chose to honor Friedrich Hayek.
The 21st century has brought with it an accelerated growth in the exchange of ideas worldwide. Different cultures around the world see things in ways that may not have been thought by you or those who live in a similar context to yours. In today’s world, learning has become easy. As easy as booting up any device with online connectivity and looking for whatever your interest might be. Education has also greatly benefited from the online world; great educational institutions have started to offer their services through the web. International commerce is to further increase, companies can sell and send their products to customers from any continent in a few days or weeks. Businesses are no longer limited to local consumers, and consumers are no longer limited to local products or services. Today I´m enrolled in Hayek Global College´s Global MBA, a 100% online college from Brazil with people from 8 different countries around the world. Learning a lot about business administration and sharing experiences coming from contrasting backgrounds.
One of America’s leading public intellectuals, Walter Williams, has passed away.
Hayek Global College´s Ambassador Program seeks talented students around the world to harness their leadership, develop their full potential, and to make them a showcase for prospective students – with an end goal of ultimately advancing our mission and contribute to a freer, more prosperous and more peaceful world.
