Hayek Global College, an international college based in Brasília, has opened enrollment for the MUN Training Camp, a training program designed for high school students interested in participating in major international Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, academic simulations of the United Nations. Throughout the program, participants take on the roles of diplomats, journalists, or judges and debate real global challenges, developing skills such as public speaking, negotiation, critical thinking, and diplomacy, with a focus on key topics on the international agenda, including global politics, human rights, and international security.
Held in partnership with Internationali Negotia , the course offers high-performance training in diplomacy, public speaking, and international relations, using methodologies applied by award-winning delegates at international conferences. The goal is to prepare students for qualified performance in demanding and competitive academic environments.
According to Edson Agatti, Executive Director of Hayek Global College, the initiative goes beyond technical preparation. “Our objective is to develop students who are capable of leading committees, influencing negotiations, and standing out at international MUN conferences. We focus on technical mastery, strategy, and the intellectual maturity required for students to perform confidently in multicultural and high-level contexts,” he states.
The MUN Training Camp will be led by Gabriel Moreira , Secretary-General of Internationali Negotia , along with guest professors, offering an immersive experience in the functioning of the United Nations system, including its formal rules of procedure. The program also develops advanced skills in diplomatic writing, argumentation, strategic research, and the technical defense of official country positions, while fostering leadership, decision-making under pressure, and the drafting of diplomatic documents aligned with international standards. “Students learn about simulations of international organizations through the integration of knowledge of the international system and geopolitics with practical training in public speaking, negotiation, and diplomatic protocol,” explains Professor Gabriel Moreira.
The program begins on March 4 with an Opening Lecture, from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, dedicated to presenting the project and answering questions from students and guests. The official start of regular classes will take place on March 11, with in-person sessions held every Wednesday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Hayek Global College campus, located at Condomínio ION, SGAN Q 601, Rooms 68 to 83, Asa Norte, Brasília, DF.
